Metroval’s Turbine Flow Meter, essentially consists of a high precision rotor, which rotates on an axis concentrically mounted inside a flanged pipe spool. The fluid to be measured, when passing through the instrument, generates the rotation of the rotor on an angular speed proportional to the flow. The rotor vanes when crossing the field of a Magnetic Sensor, inserted in the turbine meter body generate a pulsed voltage in the Magnetic Sensor Coil. Each pulse represents a discrete volume so that the total number of pulses generated, in a given period of time, represents the total volume measured by the Turbine meter.
