The line of Oil-in-Water Analyzers (TOG), manufactured by INOV8 Systems, combines the high sensitivity of fluorescence spectrometry with the revolutionary RapidWave™ ultrasonic self-cleaning technology. Available in direct or side stream versions, both for hazardous areas (EXP/EXS) and for general (GPP/GPS) and marine (GPS 107) use, the line eliminates the need for daily maintenance and chemical inputs, offering accurate readings in real time to ensure environmental compliance and process efficiency.
INOV8 analyzers operate with accuracy and repeatability in excess of ±1%, covering wide process temperature ranges (from -20 °C to 200 °C) and design pressures up to 100 barg (with options for higher pressures). Its intelligent microprocessor electronics offer multiple connectivity and communication options, including 4-20 mA analog outputs, HART protocols, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet and Wi-Fi connection for remote monitoring and diagnostics. The Deep UV LED detection system is capable of capturing even the types of oils with the lowest fluorescent response, making it a robust and reliable solution for the disposal of produced water, process water and industrial wastewater.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SERIES AND MODELS:
INOV8 Systems offers a range of specialized models to meet different hazardous areas, installation layouts and regulatory requirements:
Probe-type analyzer with direct insertion in the process, designed for hazardous areas. It has an Ex certificate of conformity and control electronics integrated into the probe head itself, operating at pressures up to 100 barg.
Direct insertion probe aimed at non-classified areas (general purpose), ideal for industrial effluent and municipal water treatment. Lightweight (less than 12 kg) and extremely easy to install.
Model homologated specifically for the marine market according to IMO MEPC resolution 107(49) and certified by DNV and USCG. Acts as a ship’s bilge water alarm, ensuring that water discharge does not exceed the legal limit of 15 ppm (or 5 ppm for clean design regulations).
AVAILABLE MOUNTING TYPES:
The INOV8 range offers two physical installation configurations to suit the layout and flow dynamics of the plant:
The main applications where this type of equipment is essential include:
Produced Water Monitoring: Continuous measurement of oil-in-water (TOG) content prior to discharge to the sea or reinjection into the well on offshore platforms and onshore fields.
Bilge Water Alarm: Monitoring and control of bilge water discharge from ships and support vessels to IMO MEPC 107(49) standards of 15 ppm to ensure water discharge meets international treaties.
Protection of Membranes and Filtration Systems: Monitors the presence of oil at the inlet of reverse osmosis systems or activated carbon filters, preventing clogging and irreversible damage to the filter elements.
Industrial Wastewater Monitoring: Continuous control of stormwater and industrial discharge in refineries, chemical, steel and petrochemical industries for compliance with environmental laws.
Heat Exchanger Leak Detection: Monitors cooling water to immediately identify internal hydrocarbon leaks in heat exchangers.
Municipal Water Treatment and Sewage Disposal: Early detection of oil and grease contamination in water treatment plants (WTP) and sewage treatment plants (ETE).
Tank Management (Dewatering): Automation of the water drainage process in storage tanks, detecting the oil interface early to avoid product losses or contamination.
Environmental and Industrial Monitoring: Detection of leaks in cooling waters, monitoring of effluents in chemical industries and quality control in municipal waters/disposal of wind farms.
