The Series 73 Choke Valve, manufactured by KOSO Kent Introl, has been developed for precise flow and pressure control in severe applications in the oil and gas industry. Designed to operate under high pressure differentials, abrasive fluids and extreme process conditions, it combines high reliability, long service life and excellent operational stability.

Available with different body, material and internal configurations, the 73 Series can be customized to meet the specific characteristics of each well or production process. Its consolidated technology, used worldwide for more than 45 years, allows the safe control of fluids containing sand, gas, condensate and oil, reducing maintenance costs and increasing the operational availability of assets.

Maximum resistance in severe applications

Available with solid tungsten carbide internals and different TRIM technologies, it controls high pressure differentials, high speeds and abrasive fluids, providing long service life even in the most severe operating conditions.

Flexibility for different production conditions

The same valve body can receive different TRIM settings, allowing its control capacity to adapt its control capacity to the natural changes in the production conditions of the well, without the need to replace the entire valve.

Increased operational reliability

Designed to minimize wear, leaks and maintenance interventions, it increases process availability, reduces operational risks and contributes to greater environmental safety.

The Choke 73 Series was developed specifically for choking applications in oil and gas production systems, offering high energy dissipation capacity in high differential pressure conditions. Its architecture allows the use of different TRIM configurations, from single-stage models for high capacities to multi-stage internals for noise reduction, cavitation control and longer service life in severe applications.

The equipment can be supplied with forged, cast or hot pressed bodies (produced by Hot Isostatic Pressing – HIP), as well as a wide selection of materials compatible with different process conditions. The internal elements can use solid tungsten carbide and patented technologies resistant to sand erosion, ensuring high durability in abrasive fluid applications. The 73 Series also offers wide rangeability, different control characteristics, Explosive Decompression resistant seals and various drive options, including manual, pneumatic opposed spring diaphragm, pneumatic piston, pneumatic with pitch, with hydraulic pitch, electric and electro-hydraulic actuators.

Production Control of Oil and Gas Wells: Regulation of the flow produced by onshore and offshore wells, controlling the production pressure and protecting the plant equipment.

Production Manifolds: Control of flow and pressure in production manifolds, ensuring operational stability during the flow of fluids from the wells.

Production Separators: Applied in the control of pressure and flow between wells and three-phase separators, contributing to the efficiency of oil, gas and produced water separation.

Offshore Platforms and FPSOs: Employed in critical oil and gas production and processing systems, where high differential pressures, abrasive fluids and high reliability are fundamental requirements.

Gas Injection Systems: Used to control gas flow in Gas Lift, gas reinjection and advanced oil recovery (EOR) processes, providing high control stability.

Production Testing (Well Testing): Applied in well test units for precise control of production conditions during evaluation and commissioning campaigns.

High Pressure Systems: Suitable for applications with high pressure differentials and fluids containing sand, solid particles or other erosive agents, where conventional valves have a short service life.
