The MTF Series Turbine Type Velocimetric Flow Meter, manufactured by Metroval, is a high-precision solution for the continuous measurement of liquids in industrial applications, custody transfer systems and loading skids. Based on the velocimetric principle, the instrument uses a high-precision rotor whose rotation speed is directly proportional to the flow rate of the fluid, providing excellent repeatability, wide measurement range and high operational reliability.

Designed to meet the most rigorous industry requirements, the MTF Series combines low maintenance cost and high metrological performance, and can achieve excellent linearity when associated with Metroval’s electronic linearization capabilities.

The MTF Series is available in nominal diameters of 3″, 4″ and 6″, serving flow rates up to 600 m³/h and ANSI pressure classes 150# and 300#. Built in AISI 316L stainless steel, the meter is certified for hazardous areas (Ex), ensuring safety and reliability in industrial applications, terminals and charging systems.

The equipment is supplied with the PCE-01 microprocessor preamplifier, responsible for conditioning the inductive sensor signal and providing industry-standard protocols, such as Modbus RS-485 and quadrature pulses, allowing direct integration with flow computers, batch controllers (presets) and automation systems.

Developed especially for the measurement of clear refined fluids (gasoline, diesel, LPG, C5+, QAV, solvents, among others) and biofuels (anhydrous, hydrous and neutral ethanol) of low viscosity, the MTF Series offers excellent metrological performance, with linearity of up to ±0.15% and repeatability of ±0.02%. The equipment has Model Approval by INMETRO (Ordinance No. 064/2003), being qualified for custody transfer applications with accuracy class 0.3.

Ethanol Fiscal Measurement: Used in mills and distribution bases for the billing of anhydrous and hydrous ethanol, ensuring compliance with INMETRO Class 0.3.

Transfer of Custody of Clear Products: Measurement of gasoline, aviation kerosene (JET-A1) and diesel at refineries and storage terminals.

Truck and Wagon Loading: Integrated with metering skids and flow computers (such as the Axiom MFC S+) for precise batch control in road-rail loading arms.

Chemical Industry (Solvents and Reagents): Measurement of organic solvents, alcohols and other low viscosity chemicals that require high repeatability and corrosion resistance (316L Stainless Steel body).

Test and Calibration Benches: Due to its metrological stability and the use of inductive sensors (which eliminate magnetic drag), it is often used as a reference meter to validate other instruments.
